Kyogoku Takato (京極高迢)

Takato KYOGOKU (1741 - June 16, 1762) was an heir to Marugame Domain of Sanuki Province. He was the eldest son of Takasui KYOGOKU (the third son of Takamochi KYOGOKU, the thir lord). Takato's official court rank was Jugoinoge (Junior Fifth Rank, Lower Grade), Nakatsukasa no Shoyu (Junior Assistant Minister of the Ministry of Central Affairs).

He was adopted to his uncle, Takanori KYOGOKU, the fourth lord of the domain and in 1758 had an audience with Ieshige TOKUGAWA. Although Takato was conferred to Jugoinoge, Nakatsukasa no Shoyu in the following year, he died early at the age of 22 in 1762. Takanaka KYOGOKU, Takanori's first son, was treated as the heir.
